A DOG ADOPTION DAY...and cats, too!
The Montgomery County Humane Society is bringing adoptable animals to Adventure Theatre in Glen Echo Park in their Mobile Adoption Unit (MAU). Staff, volunteers and foster parents will be available to help you with any questions you may have about the animals. Come and visit with the animals, find out how to help the Humane Society, learn about their Outreach Programs, donate items and cash, or become a foster parent to a deserving animal.

Adventure Theatre hosts this event in conjunction with its production of
the AREA PREMIERE of
Go, Dog. Go!
Adapted from P. D. Eastman's much-loved children's story, Go, Dog. Go!, is a chaotic circus of music, laughter and physical comedy and a signature production directed Karin Abromaitis.

“We here at the humane society’s private rescue know that this event will not only help find families for these homeless animals, but will also help with informing the public on responsible pet ownership and the importance of routine veterinary visits. With the help of organizations like [Adventure Theatre] we can reach our goal of 100% placement – enabling us the chance to eliminate the need for euthanasia for lack of space.” - Juan Lopez, Director of Rescue Operations, Montgomery County Humane Society.

“Everyone here at the Park looks forward to this day of attention for our four-legged friends. We hope Park patrons will enjoy this wonderful production and possibly seek out a new family pet after the show!” - Katey Boerner, Executive Director, Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture

"So many of our patrons enjoy the Park with their dogs every day - this event is a perfect fit at Glen Echo Park." Kym Elder, Site Manager for the National Park Service at Glen Echo Park
